Too much material in the exterior shorts
By Marion from Fitchburg, WI on 07/17/2008
Pros:
Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Washes Well
Cons:
Bulky, Chafes, Need more tailored fit
Best Uses:
bicycling
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Length:
Feels true to length
Waist:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The construction, material is good. Might want higher percentage stretch in the exterior shorts, so they could be more fitted to body. Floppy shorts are definitely not what a biker wants. I wanted tailored shorts over biker liners, which this is, but the floppy fit is not right. Hope you can change it. Thanks for listening. I've returned the shorts. MIB

Paid double the price for these shorts at REI a couple of years ago - that's why I only had one pair until now. Recommend these shorts for a nice 10 - 40 mile bike ride.

Comments:
Even though Sierra recommends ordering a size larger - even the larger size was too small. I ordered a L when I usually wear M. Still too snug.

I love these shorts. It is nice to have a pair of cycling shorts that don't look like cycling shorts.

Comments:
I just received these and they are huge! It might be because I am petite- but I have to wear them very high to make them fit. Its a nice design idea- but doesn't work for my taste. The style is older (my mother would love them!) but just doesn't work for me. I am going to have to return them.

Cons:
Bulky, padded
Best Uses:
biking
Describe Yourself:

Length:
Feels too long
Waist:
Feels too small
Bottom Line:

Comments:
I was looking for unpadded biking shorts. Being new to bike short specific purchasing I was unaware that full chamois meant fully padded. These are nice shorts if you want padded ones. They felt a little small in the waist (XL) size, while also long & bulky. Returned them.

I'm getting back into riding and was looking for the baggier style. These are great. In fact, I'm going to order the other color.
