The fit is very comfortable. I am a size 10 and the mediums fit perfectly. I am only 5'3" so the length is a little long before I put my boots on. The fit is fitted around a low waist, which I really like but a little more room in the legs. I wear only one layer underneath the pants. I have used them both Telemark skiing, which requires more stretch and they worked great, and downhill. The snow beaded up on them nicely and they did not feel wet even with very heavy snow. These are so stylish, I would definitely recommend them to a friend. I did order the large also but sent them back because they were too big.
