By Stomper from New Paltz, NY on 07/29/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the way Vasque boots fit me. This model is good for its price, replacing a pair that wore out. They are not as durable as some of their other (more expensive) models, but did fill my needs.
By Stan The Man from Irvine CA on 06/23/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The Vasque Ranger II hiking boots are just what I was looking for as a casual hiker, who requires ankle and arch support. The boots are relatively light, sturdily constructed and easy to lace up. I owned a pair of Vasque boots in the early-70's, which were heavy and never quite broke in properly, leaving me with countless blisters and sore spots. Hiking boots have come a long way in the last 35 years! Highly recommended!

Good general purpose hiking boot By Tom from San Diego on 06/13/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: Soles are not great onwet Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second pair of Rangers. This boot gives me great support and protection for my weak ankles. They also fit very comfortably. After wearing them for 10 hours a day, they still feel good. For the price these are a great buy.
Great hiking or around town boots By dog from fayetteville, AR on 05/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Room enough for liner soc Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was told when I ordered these boots to order a 1/2 size larger because they ran 1/2 size small. I disagree, they provide a good enough fit to wear with one sock or to include a liner sock for cold days or hard, extended or off-trail hiking. I prefer the liner sock at any time because the footbed does not protect the feet as much as some other boots, however these other boots aren't made as well either...
