By Jan the day hiker from VT on 03/19/2009 Pros: Durable, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Wet Weather, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are a decent boots. The foot fit is comfortable, but they hurt some around the ankles when laced snug due to the tongue design. I also bought a pair of Clarions which are very comfortable. I will probably where these mostly for casual and work, and keep the Clarions for hiking.

By Desert Holly from Ridgecrest, CA on 04/23/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Don't like lace grabber Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I always order Vasque. It's the only boot I can put my foot in and it just fits right. But getting older and feet getting flatter, maybe it's time to go to wide. Wished I would have ordered this boot in W instead of M, might result in a little less rubbing. Otherwise, I've worn the soles out of 3 pairs of these over the years. Love them!
But I don't like the lace grabber on the top, last eye ring. It is hard to get the boots tight because it grabs the laces and makes it hard to pull. I see the laces wearing out real fast in one area because of the friction this little rubber grabber places on the laces.
By Black Hills Mom from Black Hills, South Dakota on 04/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these as work boots. I work outdoors in very mountainous terrain. They are very comfortable, fit well, and took very little break-in time. The only down side to them is that they are not very breathable. I will need to find a different pair of boots for the summer.
