Awesome price for awesome boots! By Thevahvah from New Haven, CT on 10/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wow! I thought that I was a person who'd never be able to wear leather boots, but I've changed my mind since buying these shoes. Not only do I have big calves (16.5 inches) from playing sports, but I also have high arches and Morton's neuromas in each foot. For those of you who aren't familiar with neuromas, they're nerve tumors in the foot that make walking excruciating. I had surgery to correct one of my neuromas, but it didn't help and I have a very difficult time finding shoes that I can tolerate, never mind boots! These boots are the solution to all my problems. They have great arch support, the negative heel takes the pressure off the neuromas, and the calf easily fits around my legs. I like to wear these boots with the cuff unfolded so that they come almost to my knee. I have very long legs (33 inch inseam) and the boots come to about an inch below my knees when unfolded. They're so lightweight and they make walking a breeze. I'm on my feet all day and I walk about 11,000 steps in one day and these boots just kept on going!
By ronniecaliente from Chicago, IL on 09/25/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Eclectic, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got so excited when I read the reviews saying the calves on this boot are larger than average, because my soccer calves are larger than average! I have a hard time finding wider calf boots that aren't a traditional riding boot style (which is nice, I have a pair) or high heeled dress boot (I don't do high heels). My personal style is funky/eclectic, and these boots (like many Earth shoes) have a look that I really like, along with the awesome comfort of Earth. I can understand the reviewer that said these boots weren't her style, they're not for everyone.
I was pleasantly surprised that the shaft of the boot did fit my 16" calves (keep that in mind if you have thin legs) and it still has that casual slouchy look. I can't wear jeans tucked in, but that's nothing new for me, and I prefer to wear boots with skirts and knee socks anyway. The leather is like silky butter, and the comfort is great.
By searchingforperfectshoes from Bangor, Maine on 08/14/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Although the length fit right, the heel box was way too loose and my heels lifted up with every step. I am sending them back shortly. They're kind of fashionable, but also flimsy. The leather's quite thin.
By maggie may from Asheville, NC on 07/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cool Style, soft leather Describe Yourself: High-end shopper, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love earth shoes, they are so comfortable and have cured my plantar fasciitis. I have been waiting to buy these boots and when I saw them here I was thrilled. And like my other earth shoes, I ordered a half size down (usually a 8, but always order a 7.5 with earth) which was perfect. Unfortunately, I returned them because they are just not my style-i am not conservative (27yo) but I do like my shoes to be somewhat sleek looking and these are not - they are too slouchy to wear under jeans, unless they are super baggy-and so they look cool with jeans tucked in, but just not my style. They look cute with short skirts and funky tights-but again, just not a look I wear. And the characteristic squarish toe makes it look not very nice with pants over, and too casual for a professional office look. All in all a beautiful, comfortable shoe which looks really cool and funky so if that's your thing buy them and Sierra Trading Post is the best price you'll find. I'm waiting for Earth to make a more sleek boot.
By Mary from Canada on 07/28/2008 Describe Yourself: Conservative Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Calf is on the big side. I have to wear these with pants tucked in or they fall down, but thats OK becasue they look great
Beautiful, but not quite high enough By The Funkkeeper from Seattle, WA on 07/22/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute, DELICIOUSLY Soft to, Durable, Easy To Clean, Stable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were unbelievably soft boots- divine! Problem for me was this: they weren't knee high. From the pic, they look nearly knee high. They're not. If I wanted mid calf boots, i would buy these in a heartbeat. They were a touch too big, but I think i just ordered the wrong size. They would have wrapped around my feet perfectly had I ordered correctly.
By Jeniburd from San Francisco, CA on 07/07/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Easy To Clean Best Uses: Casual Wear, Formal Events, Going Out, Office, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You can wear these up or down-they look great with short dresses, leggings, or skin tight jeans. Gauchos? Sure, if you are brave enough. These babies are soft and comfortable right out of the box. No need to break them in. The negative heel technology makes walking an exercise in good posture, working your thighs, calves, and buns. Between these and fitflops I don't need to go near a gym!
By Sarah the bargain shopper from Cleveland, OH on 07/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Stable Cons: Leather feels delicate Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's summer so I haven't worn these out of the house yet, but they feel heavenly (as my other pair of earth shoes do). I love this brand. The leather is very soft. The only place I would disagree with other reviews is that the calf felt a little on the small side. Not too tight, but not big enough to wear over jeans. Granted, I have pretty muscular calves, but anyone can get muscular calves from walking all day in their earth shoes!

Have gotten many compliments and the leather feels like butter, so soft!
