By Penguin from Chicago on 02/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Waterproof Best Uses: Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I almost didn't buy this boot because of the reviews, but I'm a big fan of Earth shoes so I gambled. I am happy with the boot overall. It was true-to-size, though like all Earth shoes, it required some breaking in. I didn't find it to be especially warm, but it depends on your standards. I would say it is warm enough for normal midwestern winters, but not warm enough for sub-0 temps.

By Sylvia from Upstate, New York on 01/12/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I read the negative reviews but just wouldn't listen. These were not comfortable. Two tight, raised stitching that rubs, stiff. Sent them back.
Best winter boots I've owned! By Toasty toes from Bolingbrook, IL on 01/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Having a D-width foot with a narrow heel, this boot is comfortable and the lacing keeps the boot from slipping on the heel. The wider toe box, as with most Earth shoes, allows me to order a 1/2 size down. The only negative I found was on the right boot. At the transition from the ankle support to the top of the boot, it dug into my outside ankle. I decided not return the boot but placed moleskin there and had no problem after that. Have had many compliments on the styling from others. I am very satisfied with its performance and appearance.

not up to the other Earth products By mrsdoody from austin, tx on 01/04/2009 Cons: Not Comfortable, Not Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: returned boot part felt like card board, no fur in foot section, the two boots felt different from each other, cheap
By Pauly from Michigan on 01/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Feel tight, Gave me blisters on ancke, Not Comfortable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the looks and warmth of these boots. I like the negative heel construction of other earth shoes that I have tried, this is why I purchased these.
But this pair is giving me problems. They are tight on the top of my foot, it feels like they are pinching down on the top of my foot. Also even after taking them to a shoe repair store to get stretched I am sill getting blisters on the out side of each ankle bone, where the boot seems to be rubbing. So for these reasons I am unhappy with my purchase. I was really looking forward to these boots when I ordered them.
