By little bird from Utah on 07/08/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Monsoons, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This parka is true to size. I would have been swimming in it if I'd ordered one size up as suggested. Also, the brown color is not brown at all. It's a nice plum. Construction seems great, plenty of pocket space, etc. I gave it four stars since I haven't actually tried it in the rain yet, but Sierra Designs makes good gear, so I'm sure it'll be fine.
By Maven from Minneapolis, MN on 06/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered a size up, as recommended, and the fit is fine--a bit long in the arms and blousy up top, but I do like the extra length in the body. I'm 5'8" and the coat completely covers my butt, which is a bonus where shedding water is concerned. Super light, a great eggplant color, great value.

A nice warm weather rain jacket By Steelygumby from North Bennington, VT on 06/26/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The color "cocoa" is actually a deep burgundy/purple - very attractive, but not really brown. Also, the hip is cut rather narrowly. If you have wider hips, you may have some difficulty (it does have a zipper that opens at both ends, though).

By arctostaphylos from Portland, OR on 06/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I pack this to throw on over a fleece in case the weather gets rainy, and it's very light to carry when I'm hiking, doing field work, or commuting.
It has ample length and coverage in the arms, hem and hood, and a flattering, shaped fit that still allows plenty of room to move around.
The brown color has a very attractive plum undertone that is both feminine and down-to-earth.
Poor inner lining ruins product By Selective Angelique from New York, NY on 06/17/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Great color and style. The problem is w/inner lining. Though it's waterproof, because it retains so much body heat, it makes it wet from the inside. Jacket sticks to the skin & it's very unpleasant. Some sort of thin material lining would improve product greatly.

Has to sit perfectly in order to zip it up.....frustrating at times.
