The length is longer than most and makes it super for rain and keeing wind out. Haven't used it for running yet but its roomy and I dont foresee problems.

By Meanie Wahini from Portland, OR on 03/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels too small Gear Usage: Biking, Travel Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got it for a trip to Hawaii. It was perfect. Very packable and lightweight.
If the extremity vents keep my back from getting to hot, I hope to use it for bike commuting as well. The too-long-for-biking body length can be addressed by unzipping from the bottom.
After reading the other comments, I bought one size larger than I normally would and am very happy with the fit.
I love the burgundy/brown color.

Based on other people's size comments, I ordered up a size and the fit is perfect. I haven't tested it in a downpour yet and I do not plan to wear it in the winter over bulky clothes.

Best purchase I've made in a long time By CIN from Greensburg PA on 03/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Covers thighs, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Camping always rains, Casual Wear, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Camping, Spring creek fishing Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been looking for a woman's rain parka for a while. Yours has offered everything I have wanted. Color mattered only so far as it was darker, but the blue was nice for a change than my normal "drab". Sierra Designs Parka created a winner. I just which I had gotten in on other colors. Size XL should be way too big for me (5' 140lbs)Sleeves I push up. But w/layering, it is perfect & covers more body length. The "up & down" zipper works well for shorties like me.
By TinLizzy from Bryn Mawr, PA on 03/26/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Drizzly days, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Mild rainy days Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is good looking and comfortable. It lives up to its waterproof claims very nicely. I might wish that it were a smidge warmer, but I probably won't feel that way when the weather warms up a bit. The zipper sticks a tiny bit, but the pockets and velcro closings are very nice.
By new to the mountains from upper state ny on 03/24/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Getting Started Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great jacket for the price. I was worried when I read some reviews that I would need a size larger, but the jacket is true to size. If you want to layer a bulky layer under, then of course go a size up. The colour is fabulous, the feel of the jacket is as well. I am very happy. It is a steal at this price!
