By skiing for fun from Pocatello, ID on 02/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just wore these pants skiing in Park City. It was cold and snowing - but I stayed warm and dry. They truly are waterproof and cozy without thick insulation. They also have stretch to them so that you can get a more fitted look but still move around. I am 5'8" and 145 lbs. I typically wear a size 10, but I ordered up one size due to previous reviews. The fit is perfect for me - the pants are pretty curvy through the hips. I wore with Nike Fit Pro tights underneath and the combination was perfect.
By btski from rochester, ny on 02/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Low rise waist sits low Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wish there was a tall size offered because the rise was a bit low for my preference.
Comfortable, good overall. By jo ski from VT on 02/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Waist sits a little low Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted something for downhill skiing that was not bulky. These were great for conditions on day first used - temp in high 20s, powder skiing. Have not tried yet in colder weather, but great so far.... Waist sits a little low so may have had some exposure if ski jacket was shorter, but wokred out fine and comfy fit overall.
By rdinvestor from Philly, PA on 01/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill, Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I overly took the advice of what I read and ordered 2 sizes up and needed to return them. When I did, I found out that they also had longs which were not presented initally when I ordered. Yes they are lower cut than traditionally but they were not any lower than most jeans I own. The fit is very good and I am overall satisfied especially now that I have longs to wear.
good pants for snowshoeing By minnie from northern michigan on 01/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Go up one size, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i use these for snowshoeing/cross country skiing and they were a great value. you need to go up one size.
could use a few more pockets, but it is not a huge problem considering the price. also, the rise is a little low for my taste - sits below the waist - which is fine for jeans, but tends to pull down when exercising

Beautiful Pants, but Low Rise Too Low By kellykellygirl from Northern CA on 12/05/2008 Pros: Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Downhill, Freestyle Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Beautiful Pants, but need to buy 2 sizes up. I can't imagine skiing in such a low rise. If you have no butt the fit might be better. I returned them.
By Cindy from New jersey on 12/03/2008 Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These are strange-fitting pants. I ordered two sizes larger just to be safe, and while the hips fit, the waist was way too big. I have other Obermeyer pants, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I returned them.
