I have gotten so many compliments on this coat - I wear it for every day winter wear - and it is a lightweight warm coat - DuPont uses their layered fabric to make it light but warm. It is the best coat! As for the hood - it is big when you put it on but just fold back the faux fur part and it fits perfect! The price was great at [$]!
By Mickey from Hiroshima, Japan on 01/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is nicer than I thought it would be. The color looks a little lighter than the photo, but it's a pretty light green and I like it. I am somewhere in between size 2 and 4 (somewhat close to 2) and the size 2 fits me perfectly.
By SF skiier from SF, CA on 01/04/2009 Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a shell that I use for most warm weather ski days, but this jacket is perfect for chillier days, on and off the slopes. It is very warm! A little bulky, but has all these cute little drawstrings and buckles to prevent the 'abominable snowman' look. Tons of little inside pockets, some more secure than others (my phone actually fell out of the one that was supposed to be made for holding it). One caveat is that it hits at the waist, and although the lack of snow skirt makes for a sleeker silhouette, it may not be ideal for someone who expects to fall a lot in the snow.
By Runaround Mom from Milwaukee, WI on 01/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this coat. Good looking, warm enough (not super warm, though), and updated. I wish it had a true powder skirt, rather than hidden adjustable waist cinching, and if it were 2 inches longer, I'd wear this coat all year long, even to the swimming pool. I get lots of compliments.
By Weezer502 from West Chester, PA on 12/02/2008 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: THis jacket is great looking and I received many compliments on it. Wanted a jacket that I could wear skiing and casually. This FIT THE BILL. Has many little pockets and zippers and has a unique look that fashion jackets don't have plus it is extra warm when it needs to be. I got a size 4 based on the size chart, I normally wear a 2 in regular clothing.
By Jewelz from Lawrence, KS on 11/29/2008 Pros: Lots of Pockets, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Cons: Bulky, Irregular Size Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This coat is pretty nice, it keeps me really warm. The hood is ridiculous though, I had to take it off because the fur is really big and fluffy and covers almost half my face when I have it on. The fit is also a little strange. I wanted something fashionable and functional and it wasn't quite tight enough for my style. It's not incredibly bulky, but a little poofy from your body. Didn't want to get a smaller size because the sleeves fit perfectly.
By always cold from VT on 10/08/2008 Pros: Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Around town, Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very warm jacket with a stylish fit, fabulous detailing, and nice fabric in a good color (Trellis). It has well placed hand packets, a two-way zip, and a warm hood so it will be great for cold weather.
