By Jo from Alaska on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features, Not warm Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for something that I could easily wear in town, off the slopes and these won't quite do, so my review isn't really fair as I haven't tested the pants for skiing. The fit is flattering. I ordered a size up but the pants were too large. I suspect the smaller size would have been a little tight. They aren't very warm, nor are they very stretchy. I didn't mind the long back as it helps keep the pants up.
By lishopper from long island, ny on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Trim fit usually means I need to order up a size - I'm usually a 10, which I made the mistake of ordering first, and it was too small. Went back for the size 12, but the waist was huge, even though hips and legs fit fine. Sadly, I had to return, which is too bad because the fabric is very sturdy and smooth.
By The secret bargain shopper from Idaho on 11/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very flattering. They come up to my waist, and are really slimming. The fabric is really cozy and there is some zippy stitching that runs up the leg adding style.I sell high end ski wear and these are nicer than pants that cost way more.
By ColoradoNewbie from Denver,Colorado on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very flattering; nice enough to step off the slopes and right up to the bar. I'm 5'8" and the length is perfect, only the slightest bit of a gap at the waist.
Great fit for an athletic body type By DotSki from New York, NY on 10/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have muscular legs, calves especially, slim hips, a bubble butt, and a long torso, so ski pants (and many other pants) that fit well are tough to find. But these do a great job. Because they are have stretch, they fit well from the waist to the legs, where with most other pants I usually have to fit to either my legs or my waist. They do run about 2 sizes small. I'm usually a 4 or a 6 in Banana, but I kept the 10 in these, which still gives me a trim fit, but with room for a base layer.
These are the greatest ski pants ever!! By selbacht from Southern Vermont on 10/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are phenomenal ski pants that have a great fit; high in the back so no snow sneaking in, and low in the front for great looks. I ordered a size up as some in other reviews indicated; the next size up fit like a glove. Apparently, they do run small. I was worried they would be too long; they are perfect with a little length left and I am 5'2".
Love them!
By Telemark skier from Santa Clara, Ca on 09/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Nordic Downhill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are beautiful pants - high quality, flattering fit. True to size.
Unfortunately, the only length available was "regular" - I need a short. Was very sad that they are a good six inches too long for me.
What I was looking for at right price By Lori of the Lake from Northern NJ on 09/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Obermeyer is one of the only companies that makes ski pants long enough for tall women. I wear a 33" inseam normally, and these are 32", which is fine with ski boots or snow boots (for sledding with the kids). I do a lot of international travel, and I plan on wearing these around town on those occasions when it's really cold out, or if I'm in the snow. They can pass for black boot-cut pants. I haven't had a chance to use them for skiing yet, but they look well made and the fit is great if you go a size up (or two if you have bulky thermals on underneath). Love the high back- Who likes snow in their coin slot? Great over-the-boot ski pants!
By Class Act from Deer Valley, Utah on 09/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pant is the perfect wear both on-off the slopes! The most comfortable pant I've found yet that can both handle the slopes with comfort and the dinner hour with style.
By GearGirl from Madison, WI on 07/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cross Country, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Note that these pants are VERY low rise in front, and high in back (which I like beacuse it keeps them from falling down in back). If you don't like a very low rise, though, then these aren't for you. Also, they run small-- I am normally a 4 and an 8 fits just right. The 6 was OK, but there would not have been enough room for a base layer). The only complaint I have is that the gaiter fabric (from the shin down) is not very breathable and is scratchy at the seam that conects it to the rest of the pant. Another plus is that these pants have a long inseam, so tall girls rejoice! I know how hard it is for tall girls (I'm 5'8") to find any type of athletic pant.
