The boots felt slightly damp after 5 hrs in the rain riding the horse. Seemed to dry our fine that night in camp.wore them everyday with great comfort.
I wouldn't accept another pair... By Does a nickname matter? from North Idaho on 10/03/2009 Cons: Bulky, Don't Breathe, Not Warm, Not Waterproof Best Uses: Outdoor slipper Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: this boot was never waterproof. the liner is rated for -40, I felt it was more around 15 or 20F. there was no insole between the liner and the boot foot-bed. overall it was a complete disapointment. if this shoe is for walking from the house to the mailbox or woodpile and they were pre-warmed I would have no complaints... maybe I just got a lemon?..
Great, comfortable, warm boot. By JPS from Taos, NM on 03/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a great, all-around winter boot for people who tend to spend a lot of time in the outdoors. It is an excellent choice for winter hiking, snow shoeing, hunting or working in harsh, cold environment.
By Chevy Gal '68 from East Tawas, MI on 02/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Shopping, Snow shoveling Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a boot that was warm, functional and a as female consumer...looked good. This boot fit all of my needs. It was true to size, light enough not to add misery to the snow shoveling task and warm enough for someone who always complains of cold feet. It has been a great boot. I have only had it for a few weeks and they are a little stiff but not so much that I have had any problems with them. Great product!
Not What I expected Honestly By Squirrel from Flagstaff, AZ on 01/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I expected A big bulky Snow Boot, but when I put them on it was more like putting on a regular Tactical/Hiking boot, just better insulation.
Didn't get to -40 but -14 was good By Shawn from Leesburg, VA on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Camping for three days 12-18in of snow with temps down to -14 while we were outside. I should have used pants with gaters but without them even in the deep snow I didn't get snow in the boots.
I got one foot ankle deep in mostly liquid slush hiding under fresh snow and stayed dry.
Wearing a thin wicking liner and medium/heavy wool hiking socks my feet were quite comfortable feeling cold only after I was sitting around for a few hours without much movement.
