By Southpaw Grammar from Bucks County, PA on 03/02/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lacing system, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I spend a good amount of time walking back trails and so forth in Tyler State Park when it snows. I also spend some time at a friends cabin in Benton, PA out near Bloomsburg. It's definitely not Everest but good snow means I needed good boots. My lightweight combats were never really the best option. I bought 2 different brands and these won out.
They are definitely a solid boot and very warm. The lacing set up for me is a plus. No metal rings or speed lace hooks that can break. The removable inner boot is nice for airing them out. They aren't heavy but they are no lightweight either. They just take a bit of getting used to and breaking in. For the price it was a no brainer. I love these boots and I am so glad I got them when I did.
The only con I have is that the gusset is only stitched 3/4 up the boot. It makes for easy on and off and they tighten up good enough to keep the snow out but it is the only drawback I have on them. It is not an issue for me but I could see it being a concern for someone shopping around.

Good work boots for a good price By Goldenboy from Golden, CO on 01/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, work Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Work boot for snow and muddy pastures. Keeps me warm and dry. Not too bulky or heavy for this type of boot. May be slightly smaller than stated size. May want to consider ordering 1/2 size up.
Seriuos boots for hard work... By darkswede! from Fall City, WA on 01/12/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is not for play or active winter sports like sledding, snow-shoeing, etc. These are perfect for heavy duty construction or stationary jobs in the weather like traffic flagging, road maintenance, heavy equipment operator, etc. The boot is HEAVY and doesn't flex easily. The steel toe cap does not detract from the warmth.
Decent, but seam split and toe too tight By Jemez Fred from Jemez Mountains, NM on 01/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was quite pleased with these boots except for occasional discomfort with the outside toe area. However, a seam ripped after only a few weeks in the snow and I am returning them. As another reviewer said, don't expect to use them for anything other than outdoors - they are huge. Found temperature limitation at about 20 degrees F, but maybe that was because of the split.
By Grizzly from Sturgis SD on 01/07/2009 Cons: Heavy, Not Comfortable Best Uses: Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: They rub funny around my calfs. Ok boot.
By Stuart from Colorado Springs, CO on 01/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Heavy, Not Comfortable Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall, I love the boots, nicely warm and well made. However, My feet a little wider than size "M", but not quite to size "E". I ware thin liner socks, but my feet were not comfortable and in pain because of the narrow width. It was the insert liners' width too narrow, not allow the feet to spread out or move around confortably, the outer boots.
Solid boots - shorter than some By wileec from Nampa, ID on 01/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Waterproof Cons: Heavy, Shorter height Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these to replace some aging snow boots that needed to be replaced. I use them mostly in deeper snow for long walks. They are comfortable and warm. The two things that I wish were different: They are a little shorter than most boots like this. They seem pretty heavy. Even though they are shorter than my previous boots, they are still heavier than them, as well.
