By Reitree in training from Western Maine on 02/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Snowshoeing, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Buying size 9 instead of my regular 8.5 was a good idea, as suggested by other customers. Unlike my sheepskin boots, which are warm outdoors, even in sub-zero temps, and comfortable indoors, and thus, never need to be taken off, the Kamik's are warm in sub-zero temps, but too warm for indoors. (The one reason for four, not five stars.) However, the Kamik's are much more comfortable to walk in because of the support and the quality of the sole. I have yet to wear them while standing still, so don't know how warm they will be for that, but they are very comfortable, and appropriately warm for the hovering around zero temperatures I have worn them in for walking. Also, they are nice and high, and snug enough without being too tight, that tromping through roadside snowbanks does not let snow in.
Best boots I have ever had! By Snowcat in Wonderland from Durango, CO on 01/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You will have to look very hard to find a comparable winter boot that's this well constructed, stylish, functional, and reasonably priced. Sure, you can pay [$]for fashion boots, but what's the point if you can't play in them outdoors? These boots will keep you warm and dry all day, then you can use the savings for dinner and a movie!

By Furry boots from Boston, MA on 01/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Fabric at seam ripped Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I gave these boots a 3 because even though I loved them when I first got them, after about 10 days of use, one of the seams at the top of the ankle started to rip. I hope it was only my boot. I wanted to get another pair, because they were warm, dry, cute, and exactly what I wanted, but they didn't have the color I wanted when I went to return them. [...] I'll definitely shop with this company again.
By Mel from Ohio on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Don't Breathe, Sort of itchy Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So warm... even in subzero temps we had last week. Shoveled snow in these with just a thin pair of athletic socks and my feet were VERY warm and toasty even after an hour outside. I really like these boots, though if I wear them with warm socks my feet get a little TOO hot and then get itchy. Maybe it is the fleece lining. They are heavy and bulky, but that's the kind of boot they are, so it is okay. I did order a size larger and am glad I did.

I ordered my shoe size and couldn't even get my foot in to the boots. There was a strange design pattern in black on the tan boots that was not shown on the website photo.
