By Found the Perfect Winter Boots from Chicago, IL on 11/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I had been looking for the perfect winter boot and finally found it. I couldn't find a tall enough of a snow boot so decided to try buying shoes online. I was worried that I would be disappointed but was anything but that. The picture does not do justice and these boots are just beautiful for the excellent price. Zappos has them for double practically. Whatever your size is, go a half size up. I am a size 9.5 and bought a 10. They are a bit tight at first and hard to zipper up. But once you get them on and wear them for a little bit it stretches and is perfect. They are the perfect height for walking to your car in the snow and are very warm. You will not regret buying these boots at all!
By Lani from Goldendale WA on 11/08/2008 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you want to wear thick socks with this boot you need to order a full size larger. Otherwise you will only be able to wear nylons if you order your exact size.

By College Student from VT on 11/08/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I followed the advice on the comments saying that I should buy a size bigger than usual--great advice! I like my boots a lot. At first they were tight and uncomfortable, but after wearing it for a while, it feels great now. The boots are tight-fitting and therefore it's hard to pull up the zipper--but this tightness makes the boots look good... everything has a price, I guess.
Cute, comfy, stylish...but... By Chanbanan83 from Lander, Wyoming on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Warm Cons: Small around the calf Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are warm, comfy, stylish, and cute. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try them out outside because they were too small on me around my calves. These boots run small. I where 9 1/2 usually and I had to go a size and a half up and, even though the shoes I got were size 11, the top part of the boot that went around my calf was still too small. It didn't really feel like the top part of the boot on the 9 1/2 was any different than the 11. Even though the shoes didn't work out,[...] and I am definitely keeping my eye out for any other shoes I can order from this company. These particular boots just weren't meant for me. Happy shopping!
By krisskross0908 from everett, ma on 11/07/2008 Pros: Breathable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Not Comfortable, Too narrow Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use this product in the winter through the snow, sleet and bitter cold...This product will no doubt keep my feet warm and dry...HOWEVER the sizing is so narrow it borders on uncomfortable..I ussually wear an 8W and as there was no wide width available i went to the next size (size 9)only to find the boot still fits snugly
warm and stylish, but zippers are weird By alaskagal from Buffalo, NY on 11/07/2008 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these boots because we just moved to Buffalo and I wanted something I can wear in the winter that doesn't scream "outdoor gear!". These (in black) will look decently understated under bootcut pants or even casual skirts, when it's just too cold to wear unlined leather footwear, but you want something other than pac-boots. I'm happy with the look, and they seem quite warm, although the weather hasn't been cold enough to give them the real test. The only complaint I have is about the weirdly placed zippers: they are somewhat hard to get on and off, due to the zipper being on the outside. It's just an awkward angle for trying to zip up a tight zipper (and though I don't have large calves, they do fit quite snugly). Also, once it's fastened, the zipper tends to "pool down" right over my ankle bone, which some wearers could find quite uncomfortable. I sized up, since almost all Kamik reviews on the site seem to advise it; I normally wear an 8, but the 9 fits me just fine with room for some thick socks if necessary.
By skier from Central New York on 10/24/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased a Kamik boot similar to the artic boot last year and its the warmest boot I have. I purchased this Carnegie boot for work in a size 8, I am a size 7, because my daughter who is an 8 tends to borrow my things. The 8 fit like a 7 for me. You'd have to wear thin socks or stockings with this boot as the calf was tight. It has not been cold enough yet to wear, but am hoping it is as warm as the other Kamik boot I have.
By sorrisa from southern vermont on 10/09/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really can not review this product when my garden still has flowers and the temps are in the 50s but I did want to mention that this product runs small.
I am a size 8 1/2 or 9, and I had to return the size 9. The 10s fit w/ a light weight sock.
Will probably accommodate straight leg pants but calf is not very roomy.
Will be back in a couple months when the temps drop and snow replaces grass
