Good quality, not the most accurate fit By N from Madison WI on 12/03/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: There is a little bit too much heel room which I think I can live with. The boots are really high quality and I am not afraid I'll slip in them. I wear a 6.5 to a 7 in shoes. The Sierra Trading Post customer service people told me to buy a 7. They were so huge that even after putting insoles and wearing two of my thickest socks I still felt like I was walking on canoes so I exchanged them for the 6s. The "7" is equal to a European 37-38 and the "6" is equal to the European 36-37. I think Sierra Trading post would have to deal with less exchanges if they provided that additional information. Sometimes American sizes are not as standardized. A good boot if you can stand a little too much room in the heel. I think they will do the job.
By maya from Minnesota on 11/08/2008 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I put them on and 3 hours in the car later, the glue from the top lip let go completly. Mabey these are a knockoff/fake but regardless were defective and the way they are glued, instead of stiched, would never work with snow, hiking and up to -40.Returned.
DONT BUY IF YOU WANT A LASTING BOOT!
My feet will be warm this winter! By Kat from Redfield, NY on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are super warm, easy on and off, comfortable. Sizing was perfect. The soles are not flexible, but I haven't seen any boots in this style that have flexible soles. I have previously owned similar boots made by Kamik and have worn them for almost 20 years. I think they're going to be great for snowshoeing.
