Unfortunately they do not block the light as well as I had hoped - I bought the suggested blackout panels but they did not hang nice or even look good form the outside. Love the curtains though. Beautiful colors.

I bought the liners that Sierra TP also had available which afforded extra insulation, room darkening, and privacy. I am very please with these curtains. The color was very nice (I got the coffee color, which is more like taupe--or coffee with a lot of cream!) I was so happy with them, I bought a few more panels to put in my dining room so all the window coverings are uniform. I've even thrown them in the wash once already (not recommended on the tag). I washed two panels at a time, in a gentle cycle, cold water with Woolite, and then line dried them, and they came out great. I also get lots of compliments when people come over. Bonus!

Since valances were not available I bought an extra pair to make tailored valances and have extra fabric for accent pillows. The cafe color is a perfect coffee-and-cream shade. I'm getting paint the same color for all the trim work in my way too beige rooms!

However, if you are looking to use them to block light, forget it. They are much too light/transparent for that. Also, the grommets at the top (where the curtain rod is threaded through to hang them) is large and silver. It makes the curtains look casual. So, even though the material has a luxurious look, the grommets are very casual and make the curtains inappropriate for a formal living room or dining room. Good for a family room or bedroom, though. I think they may be machine-washable too, which is a huge plus.

I needed something quick and easy to hang. These curtains are ideal: they are light, great color, and give the room a great finesse look!

I decided to keep them, even though one of the panels had small imperfections. These are more sheer than I thought, but the color was true to the website. Good value, worth a look.

They are beautiful beyond words and I really cannot believe I only spent [$] per set of panels with a coupon that Sierra sent me. If I had purchased these in the store I would have spent a ton!They are a little sheer, but offer privacy when closed. The colors are accurately portrayed. They hang perfectly right out of the package.
