By Windwanker from Aurora, CO on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered this duster for winter riding. First I ordered the Large but it was not big enough for any layering underneath. Also, my first order was the standard. The deluxe model is WAY deluxe by comparison, and 4" longer as well. The gusset for covering the saddle is great, too.

He kept raving about the great features of the coat and thanking me for buying it. You'll love it.

Should keep me warm and dry while riding in the wet and cold of Australian winter.
By Duckfoot from Berkeley, CA on 01/05/2009 Pros: Durable, Keeps legs dry, Windproof Cons: Too many buttons straps Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a raincoat that would keep me dry head to foot, and this does that. It isn't particularly warm, so if you wear it in cold weather you will need multiple thin warm layers underneath. It has lots of straps (some of which don't seem to do anything except get in the way) and buttons (some of which, especially those holding on the hood, come unbuttoned with very slight pulling). That said, it is a comfortable coat that keeps out the wind and rain and is durable with very little effort.
This is a great drover coat! By Mountain High Cabin's Godfather from Wauconda, WA on 01/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Ranching, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a true drover coat. It is waxed rather than just oilskin. It has a generous gusset for riding as well as a fit that allows for your insulated coveralls and for the necessary movement that comes with ranch work. I would have liked the option of a larger cape or a second cape. The Pacific Northwest rains enough to make the extra weight worth it.
