Fantastic Jacket. I am impressed. By ToddLand from Redmond, Wa on 11/14/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Quality, Lightweight, Windproof Cons: Sizing is larger expected Best Uses: Cold Weather, Extreme Conditions, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First, I have to say I really like this jacket. I have been very picky after seeing the Marker USA Barometer jacket I purchased from STP for my wife - it was really nice. I've been hunting online and at local stores for a similar quality. This men's jacket is light, durable and has some fit-n-finish (like a warm lined collar, taped seams, and nice inside pockets) that has really impressed me.
I wasn't sure how nice the hood was going to be since it is tucked in the collar and there weren't photos of it. It is just as nice as the regular hooded jackets with Marker's flexible but well-formed hood brim. I can see how rain could collect in the zipper area as another reviewer noted.
The only thing to watch for is the sizing seems a bit large compared to other brand's. I am 5'10 185lbs and the Medium is perfect. If it wasn't for an earlier review stating similar I would have been returning what would have been a Large for a smaller size. Thanks to the other reviewers!
By Gar from Maryland on 07/13/2009 Pros: Durable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: nice for cooler weather-snug around middle for a BIG man-as usual, gore-tex quality
By Happy Jack from Boston, MA on 03/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The jacket is very well-made, with more than enough pockets inside and out, excellent draft sealing, warm hood, and easy to use zippers. I usually wear size medium, but had to exchange it for a small.

By Big Marty from Durango, CO on 01/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Skiing/Snowboarding Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: there's just one design flaw with this jacket, the hood zips into the collar, so when you take it out and happen to get stuck in a downpour, water will collect inside the collar. it shouldn't be a problem while skiing. otherwise, i love this jacket, plenty of pockets, space to layer and it seems to be well made.

By candyman from hudson river valley, ny on 12/20/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Skiing/Snowboarding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the jacket in medium; my dress jacket size is 42 long. The medium is way big. You really don't need so much room in this type of jacket. With one or two layers of fleece and an under garment you are ready for almost anything. Lots of unused space with this set up in a medium. I had to return the medium for a small. Now I am very happy. The coat is sugar.
