By Middle Earther from Mt. View, CA on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This, like many frame locks, is not too easy to close but easy enough. A big sharp knife should not be too easy to close. I think it's no more challenging to close that a CR frame lock knife. Since it is steel framed it is moderately heavy. Fit and finish are excellent. Fits my hand well.
By Mark from Griffin, GA on 09/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Best Uses: Camping, Home, Hunting, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just getting into knives, but this one is a beauty! You know you have it in your pocket. Maintains an edge for a good period. First knife I've owned with this type locking mechanism. It was cumbersome at first, but now when I pick up a lock blade with the locking mechanism in the back - it seems cumbersome. Beautifully crafted, and Spyco has stopped production, so get them while they last.
By An American from Denver on 08/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I would have given this knife five stars if it weren't for having to use two hands to close it. I have been sitting in bed and locking and unlocking it for a week now and it is getting easier to unlock. Once open, it will not close on you, which is nice. The blade is razor sharp right out of the box. I had been looking at this knife for some time and when Sierra Trading Post gave me a 30% off of one item I jumped on it and I am very happy with my purchase!
By Papi from South Florida on 07/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Distinctive Italian look and feel. Will make for a good Urban Carry folder. Razor sharp right out of the box, what you would expect from Spyderco. Solid construction, no side or up & down play. Would have like Spyderco to provide a clip with the blade up option for faster deployment and also some teeth on the jimping but other than that a steal at this price.
So good, I bought it twice. Recently, I seem to have lost it. After considerable research, I ended up buying it again!

By Rogue Roman from Minnesota on 03/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Best Uses: Camping, Hunting Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice knife. Opens well, and very nice to look at. Great edge. Closing is a little stiff.
So far so good.
By Mr. Cong from East Orange, N.J. on 03/14/2009 Best Uses: Camping, General carry, Home Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This product is typical Spyderco quality - SHARP,
well made, and beautiful - but has one element that is atypical of any other Spyderco knife that I know of, and that is a partial wooden handle.
Of all the Spyderco knives that I own ( several dozen ), I am unaware of any other with this material in the factory design. This design has been discontinued at the factory, so grab it now.
Once they are gone, they are gone. Buying one on the aftermarket will prove to be both difficult and expensive.
By smooth from baton rouge, LA on 03/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: just got it, but it looks great, very sharp, and comfortable in the pocket.
By Fatboy from So.Cal. on 03/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Sharp Blade, Smooth Locking Mechanism Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For those who can not close the knife without crying how hard it is....buy a pink Delica from spyderco and try closing it. My 6 year old can close it and has been trained in knife safety.
You boys need to learn how to handle small knives before you purchase a grown up knife like this one.
Spydeco is number 1
