The standard must-have jacket By OldRattler from Upstate, NY on 10/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Extreme Conditions, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bulletproof outerwear. Its not meant to keep you warm, it keeps you dry, but there is plenty of room to wear a sweater or fleece jacket under it. It sheds water like a duck and breaths as Gor-Tex is intended to do. The only drawback I can think of is that the hood must be very carefully tucked away or the rigid wire that shapes the front of it makes the zipped-up collar a bit cumbersome (by no means a big deal).

By Buba from Virginia on 02/24/2009 Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Good product as usual, just the size not dependable.
By F9Scout from Brighton, CO on 11/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Windproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The size is a bit too small for Americans. I had the same problem with a different Gortex product that was also made in China.
By Colorado Runner Girl from Colroado Springs on 11/17/2008 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Skiing/Snowboarding, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my husband. At first he was a little worried it was too small and too light weight. It definitely packs well (hence the name PacLite). He went ahead and got an Arc'Teryx soft shell jacket to wear underneath it (for snow/cold weather). It fits nicely over a "not too heavy jacket" and ultimately we decided it would be a great, versatile jacket that we can pack anywhere (no bulk to worry about) and have on hand if need be.
Does not sufficiently explain the oversi By juanitopelado from Utah on 11/13/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Zips from left (female style, men's jacket). Hood for ski helmet doesn't store so that image is pretty much of a monster.
By The Bear from Wisconsin on 11/12/2008 Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I planned on using this for canoe camping and backpacking. The workmanship (sewing) is truly Chinese--seams not completely sewn, cuts in fabric and just poor quality sewing.
