Like most hiking pants they do run small, so make sure you get a least a size bigger unless you have somewhat large hips, then 2 sizes bug. The only thing I could do without is they do stretch a little when worn longer then one day with a pack on.
By Normie from PA on 02/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I usually wear 0 or 2 in pants and the size 34 fit me perfectly, it's definitely not for someone who wears size 6! In fact, I have several Lowe pants in 34, even though they are marked as equivalent to size 4 or 6. The seams and construction of these pants are of good quality, the ruby is a nice rich red. The rise is medium on me, hitting just below my belly button, but I'm only 5' tall, for others it may be lower rise. The legs are wide and straight, making it comfortable to move around without being too baggy. These pants do NOT stretch and have a crisp texture, which is the only complaint I have because I prefer softer materials with some stretch. All in all good value if you can find your size.
By Gator from Washington on 11/07/2008 Pros: Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a size 6ish. Bought the 36 and too small. Really small and too short! Rode really high up the crotch which is never a good place for pants to go. Reordered the 40, skipping the 38 size. The 40 was much too big. I think the sizing must be off..... Or I am a DA for not ordering the 38. But the 36 seemed so small.
