By MamaHikes from Massachusetts on 08/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This tent leaked a bit from all side bottom seams, and tremendously from the peak. It was NOT fun to get caught in a summer thunderstorm with a 5 year old getting drenched.
Decent casual camper tent By me from Ansonia, CT on 08/08/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice little tent for two, very easy to put up, very well ventilated, not super heavy duty construction, but not bad for the price. Not too big or bulky - light enough that it could be carried on a small hike. Probably not the tent for a serious hiker/camper but more than sufficient for the occasional weekend. We got a little leakage through the lower section of the front zipper during rain, but blocked it with a towel and did OK - would need an additional fly for heavy rain.
By Kayak Roger from SW Michigan on 08/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Good ventilation, Roomy Cons: Collects Condensation, Flimsy Construction, Poor Fly Design, Seams leak Best Uses: Beach, Car Camping, Places with no rain Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Plan on spending about $30+ more on seam sealer and waterproofing spray if you want to stay dry. Every stitched seam, I literally mean EVERY ONE, leaks unless you seal them. The rain fly seams are the worst - water doesn't drip, it POURS through. Floor is very thin and seams are right on the ground. Even after you seal it, don't expect it to last too long. This would be a great tent for camping in the back yard - so you can run into the house when it rains.
By Moto Camper from Montana on 07/21/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Comments: This tent got me wet in the storm and flattens in a medium wind. It is not a value if it does not work!

By camper gal from Maryland on 03/24/2008 Cons: Collects Condensation Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This tent leaked all over when I got caught in a summer thunderstorm, not just on the floor or sides, but actually dripping through the roof. Might be better if you camp somewhere it does not rain.
By Hiking Enthusiast from Rockville, MD on 03/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy to set up Cons: Collects Condensation, Flimsy Construction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The tent is spacious for 2 people, easy to fit our airbed, the most important reason that I bought it. However, the nails are too weak. It is very difficult to hammer them into the ground. The worst thing is the tent is not brand new. There are dirt and small stones inside two ends of the poles. They were so clogged that we couldn't insert the screws to secure the poles.
