great tent (not test in rain) By noodle from Shenandoah on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy Best Uses: Car Camping, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: easy to set up, the floor layer kept dry through out the night, that was impressive. haven't tested in rain though.
By Wheels 195 from Pennsburg, PA on 09/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The tent is roomy and comfortable; fly is too small for full rain protection and provided stakes are flimsy. Everything was OK,though, until wind picked up to about 15-20 mph - then it started folding in. Can't say this makes it practical if you need to rely on the tent and don't have an alternative.
By Jean from Auburn, CA on 09/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Worked well for our car camping trip. Might be too heavy for backpacking. was tall enough to stand up and dress in which was a bonus.

By The Camping Family from Spokane, WA on 08/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Sturdy Best Uses: Beach, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This tent was a breeze to set up--and it was nice and roomy inside. It's too heavy for backpacking or mountaineering--but for car camping--Perfect! While on vacation--during "normal" summer weather (i.e.--dry), it was great. Then it rained hard and steady for about 4 hours and it started leaking---at the entrance zipper. The fly does not extend out far enough to keep the rain from dripping at the bottom zippered area of the front entrance and it leaked --- A LOT! Also--on the back the same problem--water leaked in through the zippered area of the "window". Now---I still love the tent--these were severe freak storms--but if the rain fly had extended even another 6" on the front and back--I feel that this tent would have been perfect all the way around!
By TV from Greenville, CA on 07/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight Best Uses: Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very easy to set up. Stakes are a little flimsy, so you might want to invest in something a little heavier. Perfect for two, with room for pet, baggage, etc. Only complaint so far is the configuration of the door zipper. Have to start at bottom left and unzip all the way around. Would prefer a center line zipper. Have not used in heavy wind or rain, so no comment there. Good tent for the price.
By Suzy snowbird from Midwest on 07/01/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this as a gift for my adult daughter's birthday. She was disappointed from the get-go. The first night out it rained (not a deluge) and the tent leaked all-night-long, not just from the top, but from the flooring, even though the fly was set up properly and she used an extra tarp underneath as a ground covering. I sent it back for a refund and am looking for a better constructed, more sturdy and water-proof/water-resistant tent.
By diego from bellingham, wa on 06/28/2009 Cons: Flimsy Construction, Not waterproof, Poles break easily Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This tent is a good price, has plenty of room, but I would not buy this tent again, as it rains alot in the pacific northwest and sturdier tent poles are nice for car camping.
By Ksher from Cincinnati, OH on 06/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great value on this lightweight tent. It was a little cumbersome to set up with having to tie certain areas to the frame, but all in all a roomy, attractive tent that's fine for car camping. Ground stakes could have been a little longer.
