most disappointing purchase By trout72 from New York on 07/09/2009 Cons: Delicate, Fell apart on first setup Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have purchased many items from Sierra and I am shocked by this low quality product. Fell apart right out of the box on the first day of a two week beach vacation. Very unhappy, especially because we have two small children who need some shade. Hopefully they will take it back.
Cheap - You get what you pay for! By Skipow from Intermountain West on 07/09/2009 Pros: Compact, Lightweight Cons: Delicate, Shock Cord is too Small Best Uses: Car Camping, Day trip, rafting Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The Tripod works great for shade and rain protection and is easy to set up, however the shock cord in the poles is too small and failed the first time I used it. The shock cord should be double the diameter for the size of the poles.
By River Rats from Missouri on 07/08/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My family and I enjoy spending the day at the river here in Missouri. We bring our lawn chairs and a cooler and spend the day swimming and fishing. We needed something to give us some shade, but didn't want a huge item that would be difficult to setup. This product works well for us. We had to make sure we tied the corners down tightly because the wind would pick it up, but other than that it is easy to use. the rain/hail came--we were prepared By mother of an avid camping family from Utah/Wyoming on 07/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: After reading the negative reviews, I was nervous about purchasing this. However, the price was right, and I was certain I could return it if it turned out to be a dud. While car camping near Jenny Lake in Teton National Park it rained and hailed on us. Our picnic table stayed dry as we cooked and ate while it rained and even hailed. We left it up for three days. My teenaged daughter and I set it up. We made sure to loosen every strap to get all the slack available as we set it up and had no problems.

By Calleigh from Dayton, OH on 07/02/2009 Cons: Bulky, Delicate, Heavy Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric of the pockets where the poles go in started ripping and coming apart after the first use. It's a pain to set up, and not much shade area. Don't waste your money on this.

By Buck from Burbank, CA on 06/29/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Tent is hard for one person to set up. The fix is to tight as it puts too much stress on seams. The shock cord in poles broke on 1st use. The triangle designed does not produce much shade. I would have returned if I could have found receipt. I paid more than current price last year and still think it would not be worth cheaper price. Very disappointed!

But wonderful, especially at the price. A place to stay out of rain or direct sun at campsite or anywhere!
