An excellent tent for the value! By Rick D for NYC from New York, NY on 06/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight Cons: Collects blown dirtsand Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The tent is perfect for one or two people. It's relatively simple to setup except when it's raining, one must be quick to put up the fly or else the inside gets wet. Otherwise, it's light weight, made well and comfortable, and one can't beat the value!
By Mike in Ned from Nederland, CO on 06/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used on a rafting trip. So easy and fast to set up, my wife was very happy to have a private place to change out of wet clothes quickly. Love the two doors so we did not have to crawl over one another when nature called in the night.
By Mike P from Houghton, MI on 06/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy Cons: Collects Condensation, Too Cramped Best Uses: Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The tent works pretty good and looks pretty sweet with the fly set up properly. I've used it twice now and really haven't had any problems, except that condensation collected on the bottom. However, I wasn't using any sort of footprint... I'll probably get a blue tarp, because I called Marmot and they told me that they no longer make footprints for this model. Other than the condensation, it's ridiculously simple to set up, quick to take down, and lightweight. It is true, as other reviewers have said, that it's a bit cramped for a 2-person; I'd say it's a 2-person if you're camping with your girlfriend.
2 person good for 1 person. By Wendy from Monterey, CA on 06/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Beach, Car Camping, Hiking, Mountaineering Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5'11" and 225 lbs, the 2 person is spacious enough for me to move around in. It would be cramped for 2 people, though, unless they were both petite. It sets up easily, and I'm rather uncoordinated,so that's saying a lot.

I really like this tent!

Great tent for myself and two dogs. Huge vestibules. Very easy and quick setup.
By Wrex from Indiana on 06/11/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this tent in the fall and have taken it out camping 3 times, twice alone and once with my husband. While we slept very comfortably, it might be a tight fit for two large people. It is incredibly easy to set up, even with one person, and definitely waterproof, as I've slept through two rainstorms without feeling a drop. I haven't taken it backpacking yet but it's light enough that if we split up the tent/poles rainfly/pegs between two packs, it should pack pretty well. By Bill from Worcester, MA on 05/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tent sets up nicely. I used a poncho for a footprint. The tent, fly and poncho easily fit into a small compression sack. The sky view without the fly was awesome and the 2 doors is very convenient.
Could not rate a 5 only because I did not use it in the rain and it seems a touch small for 2 people. For 1 big person it was roomy.
By Matt G from Boulder, CO on 05/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This tent is used for backpacking in the Colorado Rockies. It is a perfect design (simple, light weight, sturdy). It is a breeze to set-up solo and the double vestibule and 2 door system is great for 2 campers. It is extremely sturdy and held up very well in gusty winds and rain. This is exactly what I wanted and the price is great. So far, there are no cons that come to mind.

Has a vestibule for each door which is nice. All in all very simple design 2 pole freestanding tent.
