It does an excellent job suppressing odor and keeping you nice and comfortable. It did really well with a backpack riding on it. The only thing I can compare it to is Patagonia wool shirts. This is much cheaper than the wool and it isn't as warm, but it is an excellent warm weather shirt.

It works great as a second layer and is very warm without extra bulk or weight.

Great all-around outdoor shirt! I rotated them and rinsed them with mountain water and let them air- no dirt or smell stuck! The temps ran from 34 to 100 degrees and it was comfortable throughout. No chafing from the 60 lb pack either.
I have since used them for whitewater adventures, poolside, and going to the beach- great sun protection that dries rapidly!

Would have loved it but for the smell. Maybe good for daily use but not extended wear.

It was very comfortable and I was able to wear it for a couple days without noticing a bad smell.

It's also stylish enough for me to wear to work. Mountain Hardwear designs their clothes for function and a comfortable fit. I've never been disappointed by any MH product I've purchased. The shirt is also light enough to wear on hotter days as a sun block. Great shirt!
