When not being used as a bear bag, I think it will also be very handy as a dry bag. Multi-purpose. Gotta' love it!

I would buy this product again By Moondaddie GA2ME98 from Weedsport, NY on 07/28/2009 Pros: Good Capacity, Strong Material, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Paddling Describe Yourself: Competitive Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have spent countless miles and days in the backcountry and have had the opportunity to use a variety of products(some good, some not so good). This food storage system is versatile and stands up to a beating. It stays water tight and packs very well for long backpacking trips or canoe trips.
I would recommend a smaller size for shoter trips.

Really well made bear/food bag By Scooter from Greenville, sc on 02/09/2009 Pros: Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Strong Material, Tight Closure, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Paddling, Sailing Describe Yourself: Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This bag has not seen the trail yet, but I expect it to perform as well as it looks. Strong, durable materials, smart design, and VERY bombproof construction. The companies mantra on the packaging is to "build it right the first time so it doesn't end up in a landfill, or need replacing". The product reflects that commitment, and I dig that.
