By EJ from Midwest on 08/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight Best Uses: Beach, In the yard Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We got this shelter for our middle schooler to use during swim meets and other all-day sporting events. It's also become her favorite spot to read in the yard. Set-up is really easy -- basically like a very simple shock-corded tent. After help the first time, she can do it alone. The fabric seems thin, so we'll see how it holds up. With the good design and great price, I'm willing to take the chance.

By ALN from New Jersey on 08/03/2008 Pros: Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sturdy Best Uses: Beach, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is great for the beach--easy set up and in addition to stakes for the sand, it also has sand bags on 3 sides for those breezy beach days. We set it up when it was pretty windy and thought it might end up flying away, but the sand bags, stakes, and crosss ventilation of the screens helped it to stay in place. We use is for our dog, who likes to be outside and be near us, but isn't always keen on sunbathing. It's super light and well worth the price! The only thing missing is some sort of flap over the screens, for those non-breezy, direct sunlight days. Regardless, it's still great.

All that you could want for the beach. By Five_star_one from Port Huron, MI on 07/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Sturdy Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought one for toddlers to use on the beach. It sets up easily, has optional guy ropes and stakes for the wind. I was so impressed that I immediately bought 2 more, one for each of the grandchildren to use. It has SPF rating, is made by ABO Gear (always excellent quality), has screen for breeze and cover for shade. It is light and easy to set up with 2 poles.

But I did a "trial run" in my living room. It was easy to set up with the help of a second set of hands. Nice and roomy for me and my 2 boys. It's compact and lightweight when folded up and put into the carrier. Can't beat the price for what you get. [...]
By Beebop from San DIego, CA on 07/21/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I like this shelter because it protects me from the sun while I'm at the beach. What I don't like is that the telescoping poles which holds the thing up is poor quality. It sections don't stay together well, which makes it harder to put up and take down. My husband also says it doesn't have as much shade as he'd like.
