I received it in the mail and decided to set it up in my backyard. I've read many reviews stating that this tent is too cramped and not long enough for a 6 foot tall person...these people must be crazy. I am 6'3" and when I lay down in it I still have plenty of room. I admit 3 people may be a little cramped in this tent but as far as 3 man tents go, this is one of the biggest I've seen. 2 people and a large dog would fit very comfortably in this tent. The material the tent is made out of seems very durable, much what I expect from Marmot. I set the tent up easily by myself in less than 10 minutes. As far as tents go, I highly doubt anyone can find a tent of this size and quality for the price. I am very much impressed.

in Dec.for one week.It was heavy for one person
but the room was enough for my backpack and me.
plus was able to set up in the tent to put my
clothes on and off.also had the footprint and gear loft which both worked well.if your willing to carry the extra weight the room makes up for that.
Awesome size for price and weight By Backing is fun from NE on 11/12/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For the price, I can't find a two person tent at this weight. The dimensions are great, my husband in 6'1 and the tent is long enough to accomodate him. I was unable to find a foot print so I went to my local tent & awning shop, they made a footprint for just a few $$. I would love to get the 2 person tent if any were available. I haven't used the tent in rain or harsh conditions, I think it will perform well though. The rainfly provides great coverage along with 2 vestubiles large enough for backpacks.

Packs up easily. I have not camped with this tent yet but from setting it up it would be a tight fit for 3 people. Perfect size for two plus some gear. Love the two vestible areas with two doors. This tent is large, so would easily be split up and carried between two packs.

Nice tent at a great price.

I haven't taken it out yet but the fly looks like it'll catch condensation easily and not breathe.
Marmot puts all the pieces together! By Strider from Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND on 11/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Best Uses: Backpacking, Beach, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: You can't just have one tent. you really need several. They are like staying in different hotels depending on your destination. This special edition marmot which I heard was made exclusively for the trading post is a great one person mega house, very cosy for two, and good for three only if its an extra babe. Easy everything. Obviously with the full screen siding its not the tent for the wind driven sands of the desert climes, but for beating the typical summer heat and having excellent ventilation you can't do better. Wind and rain, easy push for 3 season work. Set up time can't be beat. Nor can the price. And those complaints about no included ground sheet, well just call up Marmot and order the ground sheet for their Limelight 3, which has the exact floor dimensions as this tent, in fact looks like the follow up to this "prototype" with changes only to reduce the full screen siding and add a view window in the fly. The dual doors and double vestibules are great extras with no real sacrifice to weight. This is now my perfect car-camping tent. Strider.
By Flatlander from Kansas on 10/18/2008 Pros: Dual doors, Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Roomy vestibules for gear, Sturdy, Ventilation Cons: Setup in rain difficult Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my third piece of Marmot gear, and I continue to pleased with their quality (I have a rain jacket and backpack from them, both have lasted several years with moderate use). This tent recently underwent a 2-week car camp through the Southwest with a full range of weather conditions and held up well.
Pros:
1. this size has plenty of room for two adults plus gear inside the tent. Vestibules are plenty roomy for a pack, and keep stuff dry too.
2. ventilation is great
3. Dual entry is awesome.
4. Easy to set up, even for one person, and components are sturdy and easy to adjust once set up.
5. Tent kept us dry even through a full night of
steady downpour
6. Perfect backpacking tent for 2 if you're willing to split the gear between to packs.
Cons:
1. Because of the mesh,it's pretty much impossible to keep the main tent dry if you're setting up in rain. This would be even more difficult with only one person. With two people, you can have the fly ready to go and avoid too much water in the main tent. Once fly is up, you're good to go.
2. Again because of mesh, I don't recommend it for lots of camping in dusty areas with high winds. The fly provides excellent wind blockage and held up to gusts of up to 50 MPH on our trip, but the fine dust came right in under the gaps and through the mesh.
3. Mesh prevented most condensation problems, but on really frosty mornings when the condensation under the fly would melt, it would drip onto the mesh and "rain" into the tent. As this is only a 3-season tent and we were camping in 34-32F/0-1C degrees in some places, I don't consider this a big issue as the tent is primarily designed for higher temps.
Great Tent - sleeps 2 med build comfy By mosesnbklyn from Brooklyn, NY on 09/01/2008 Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fly Works Well, Lightweight, Sturdy, Waterproof Cons: Provide your own mattress Best Uses: Backpacking, Beach, Best used on grass, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Got the tent for a weekend trip to the delaware water gap. It was easy to setup in the dark, kept us and our gear dry with the fly (unlike some of our friends), and is very lightweight. The materials seem high quality uncluding the zippers and rods. Barely used any stakes. Unfortunately the ground was rocky onsite, and the tarp we used underneath wasnt comfy enough, so I was forced to make a last minute trip to [...]. It was cozy for 2 people medium build with light gear (car camping), I dont think it can fit 3 adults - maybe scouts.
