Wow!This tent withstood 3 days of hard driving rain the first time that I used it.Unfortunately the tent site was hard packed ground so there was splashing underneath the fly.Slightly wet feet,no problem.I have no doubt that the Titan will perform perfectly in "normal" rain and on different surfaces. This tent accomodated me and my gear comfortably. Two people will fit well with the 2 door design, but never three.

Great tent for the money. No footprint but I bought a Sierra Designs Papagayo footprint instead that is a little bit oversized. You can use the sides of this footprint to create a floor in your vestibules as well and it works pretty slick. Using an online coupon - I scored this tent for less than [$].

Comments:
Not as pictured, but a very nice tent nonetheless. The actual tent has an additional small pole that cantilevers over the top to hold the sides out, thus making the interior much roomier. (without adding much weight) However the doors are a real downer - they're not as pictured either. They are basically half-circle shaped, with the flat side at the bottom. The problem is that there is just one continuous zipper around the curve, and none across the bottom. This is a minor drawback, but it means that you actually have to zip the door quite far open before you can begin getting in or out - a clumsy design sure to let in any bugs that are looking for a free meal. That said, it is a great tent, and a spectacular one at such a reasonable price. The construction, although Made in China, looks very good, with attention to detail and very nicely taped and sealed seams. The clips that attach the tent to the poles are plastic, so I have some concerns about their longevity, but this is coming from someone who has only ever owned continuous sleeve tents. The best feature for sure is that the walls are mesh, so condensation isn't a problem, and it makes for fantastic fair-weather stargazing. (although not very private if in a campground!) One other thing worth noting was the lack of directions. Although I'm not a good direction-follower anyway, there really weren't any at all, aside from "set up tent." And oddly the tent doesn't appear on Marmot's website. strange. On the up side, the included stakes are nice, with a hexagonal cross section and anodized orange. Overall a great find. I'd been casually looking to replace our tent for the past year, and this seemed like the perfect fit. Great tent, roomier than our old two-person (now fits me, wife, & dog plus our gear...). Also I was well impressed to find such a quality name at this price - Marmot stuff is fantastic - even after the buyout by K2. I'd highly recommend this tent to anyone, and if the doors only had a zipper on the bottom as well, I'd give it 5 stars.

This tent is really good. Cheap easy to put up and very light. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a lightweight backpacking tent. Just be aware that this tent does not come with a footprint (a piece of waterproof material which fits underneith the tent) and you cannot buy one anymore. But for the price it is a fantastic buy!
