By northcascades from puget sound, wa on 11/10/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Snow, Snowshoeing, Winter hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought pair for myself and husband for winter hiking & snowshoeing. Fit is good for high volume/high arch feet, but need to loosen laces all the way for easy entrance/exit. Size 10 women can wear 8 1/2 in this boot, have enough width/toe room. Husband normally wears size 14, but size 15 in this boot fit better. Good quality, good value.
By Granny Down East from Outer Banks NC on 11/07/2008 Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased these for cold and slushy conditions. I also go fishing in the winter; these are great for keeping my feet warm and dry in the 2 to 3 inches of water in the bottom of the boat. The only negative is the weight of the shoes- you won't do any running or fancy dancing in them! I am female, shoe size 8 1/2- I bought men's size 7 and they fit fine.
