By Jill from Colorado on 01/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: Everyday, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These do run small. I ordered a half size bigger based on other reviews and they fit perfectly. Tread is thick and grippy--perfect for trails but I also love to just wear these around in the winter.

They run SMALL. I wear an 8 and had to return them. The 9's fit well in length, but the toe box area is too wide. I will have to return them, unfortunately.

By Smart Shopper from New Mexico on 11/08/2008 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great shoes, but they are definitely one size too small. I ordered regular size 7 and they fit my daughter who is size 6. Gave them to her and ordered a size 8. They are great. Comfy and offer superb support! I wore them for the first time hiking a ski hill, very rocky and steep. They were awesome! No blisters and extremely comfortable!
By NYC walker from New York City on 09/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday, Trail Running Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have very sensitive feet and need a lot of cushioning. Columbia makes the best cushioned shoes for me and this pair is excellent. I normally wear 8.5 but needed 9 in this style.
