These boots were as advertized and the price is good. From the reviews I saw that they run a little small so I bought a half size bigger and they fit just right.

Believe all who say runs too small.
By Jackmack from Northeast PA on 06/02/2008
Cons:
Not true to size
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Sizing:
Feels full size too small
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
The shoes were so small that it was obvious that they did not fit--even without lacing up the shoes or standing up. They even looked too small. It made me wonder if they could have been mislabeled. I've never before experienced such a size difference when trying on shoes that are labeled my size. When I read the reviews, a whole slew of people said that they ran small and I should have believed them. It's a shame to lose the postage fees in both directions to discover the drastic size difference.

Comments:
Great value from the folks at Columbia. Sturdy metal hardware, just the right amount of sole stiffness (fun for a light day hike but you can drive the car with them on) and excellent quality. Why the 4-star rating? Touch on the heavy side - weight is comparable to a lightweight boot.

Comments:
I bought these to wear around town, out hiking, or even to work in. They have been good for all three. The biggest disappointment was how they fit around my toes. The first time I tried them on they felt tight on my big toe. But after wearing them for an extended period of time I never had a problem. They don't make my feet feel worn out after wearing them and they seem to breathe well if you wear them for a while.

Comments:
I intend to wear these boots on a back-packing mission in some Central American rugged terrain during the rainy season. They are one of my most important equipment items. I selected this boot based on durability, quality and price, as well as the Columbia name. They provide ankle support and a heavy duty rigid traction sole.

My family is big into scouting & we do a lot of backpacking, hiking, & camping, so I'm very familiar with hiking shoes & boots. These are great for recreational use, but they run too small.
