Sturdy, Comfortable Shoe... By Horsey Mom from Midwest on 07/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were purchased for light trail hikes, barn chores and riding. They seem to run at least a half size small. I normally wear a 9 to 9-1/2. I'm glad I bought the size 10's. When Fall gets here, they will fit snugly with heavier socks. They were a good value for the price.
I would definitely buy this shoe again! By Curley Q from Hollywood, FL on 07/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used these boots on a hiking trip in California. I really felt secure and steady in them and would definitely recommend them. The price was great, too!
By Bob from ohio on 07/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Non-slip sole Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They run small, I ordered these for my daughter, she normally wears a size 7 womens, so I ordered a size 8 because the other reviews said they ran a size small, but had to return them becuse the 8s were also to small, went for 9s so she could wear them for more than a couple months, they seem to be fine. These are not mountaineering boots but are ok for light backpacking.
So far so good............ By sstipan from Santa Cruz, CA. on 07/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As recommended I ordered a size larger which I was hesitant about at 1st but so far it seems fine especially if there will be times that I wear heavier socks. For the great price, they seem stable and durable and will work perfectly for what I will be using them for-moderate hiking.
After reading another review that stated there was no arch support , I purchased an insole and I think it will really help.I haven't had a chance to use them much yet, so the real test will be when I go to Alaska next month.Very good price!

By Hip Librarian from Lane County, Oregon on 07/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great price on a decent pair of boots. These are my back-ups for when I don't need the heavy-duty support of my all-leather, higher-ankled Danners.
By bushwacker from calif. on 06/29/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: All my shoes are a size 10.5 but this 10.5 shoe was very tight. Seems like an excellent boot but the marked boot size is very different than what it actually is. So order larger.
Columbia Razor Ridge Hiking Shoes By LPS from Larimer County, CO on 06/29/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sizing is not accurate. A full size larger was recommended so we ordered the larger size but they seem about 1/2 size too big. I wanted to try them on in Cheyenne but Sierra Trading Post wouldn't allow that. To ship back will have to pay shipping again, so will have to get by with bigger socks. If I could try them on, I would probably buy 2 pairs - exceptional quality but its risky buying shoes/boots online when sizing is questionable.
