The only negative would be that they are very stiff and difficult to walk in.
By Winter walker from North Dakota on 12/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots kept my feet warm; my feet are always cold. I walked outside yesterday (-20) and my feet stayed warm. The only downside is they are stiff. I feel like I am walking in ski boots.
By zuzusmum from Ancorage AK on 12/14/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The only very small neg that I would give these boots is slipping the liner from the boot. But hey when it's 25 or more below who cares when they preform so well in all other areas
By Runner 16 from Buffalo MN on 12/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a nordic skier , these boots are toasty warm and feel great after a race, but are a bit tough to get out of...Not a real problem though
nice boot.great price.love pink accents By jeannejeanie from long island, NY on 12/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Heavy Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have very wide ducky feet & the medium width is comfortable with thick wool socks. These boots feet like snow boots so it's not an everyday mild weather boot. It's great for the really cold heavy snow areas. I am using these for my minnosota trip (snowmobiling, wolf tracking & dog sledding). They are rated to -60 :) good for individuals with circulatory problems & history of frostbite.
By Micky B from Arcade, NY on 11/28/2008 Pros: Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Heavy, Need to order 1 size up Best Uses: Cold Weather, Sledding, Snow, Trecking in deep snow Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The boots are great! Though a little stiff, in deep snow it provides uncompromising warmth with any activity. The boots need to be ordered 1 size up from any shoe size to account for typical boot socks. They tend to be a little stiff at first due to the amount of insulation and solid traction welts on the bottom, but this is well off-set by the boots consistent promise of warm feet.
By Neverstopexploring from Charles Town, WV on 11/26/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought a pair for my wife after getting a pair for myself and loving them. My wife wears 6 1/2 wide so I figured sz7 would be good. Sz 7 was too narrow so I returned it and ordered Sz8. Still too narrow. So, unfotunately, I'm just going to give them away and Make sure she tries on the next pair of boots before I buy them. I did buy her a pair of Sorel Intrepid Explorers from Here and they were excellent.
By aligar from Cadyville, NY on 11/22/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They run a bit big so if you wear a 1/2 size you may need to round your size down. I love that they have a feminine flare and I don't look like I'm wearing mens footwear in order to be rugged. I can't wait for our extremely cold weather to start!
By not skiing from Wisconsin on 11/11/2008 Cons: Heavy, Not Comfortable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: If you like walking around in ski boots, these are the boots for you! Sure, they feel very warm and perfectly comfortable when sitting, as soon as you need to go somewhere though, it is not a pleasant experience. These boots are so stiff, absolutely no give, they make walking a chore. Such a shame since they are a great height and feel quite warm and cozy.
By sf4alaska from Anchorage, Ak on 11/07/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Closer to a snowboard boot, very stiff and pushes you forward. Would be a great boot for snow machining, or dog sledding.
