As a snowmobiler, I was looking for a lighter weight boot that would fit under my gaters and still retain traction and warmth. These Sorels fit well and keep my feet warm and dry. Thanks STP.

Comments:
I use a pair of insulated Sorel Cold Mountain ZIP boots, when below 35 deg. F, for everyday biking. Pros: comfortable, easy entry & exit, good traction, lightweight, warm, waterproof. Cons: don't breathe and feet do sweat especially, when above 32 deg. F and humid. It seems they were designed for temperatures below 32 deg. F.

Worlds best boots for chores in the snow
By Chip QuinnVerified Reviewer from Wayland outside Boston, MA on 02/29/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof
Cons:
Not the best support
Best Uses:
Snow, Snow Shoveling, Walking the Dog
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Very well made, very warm, vdry convenient to put on, light enough. It would be better if the zippers locked more positively, but you can lean to lock them reliably. The fit is on the large size, given that thick soks aren't called for with quick-on boots. They don't have enough support for serious hiking, but they are great for chores or short walks in winter.
