Wish it laced up a bit higher and the inside top got wet from high snow getting inside, but all in all I'm very pleased with the boot. Recent snowstorm provided perfect testing conditions!
By Great Dane Walker from Aurora, CO on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Year Round Dog Walker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wore these boots today out at the 65 acre dog-park after two days of snow/sleet and they were great! While they are big and bulky, they offered the warmth, traction and waterproof protection I was looking for. I ordered 1/2 size up to accomodate bulky socks and shoe inserts and I still have a bit of slip in the heel. Probably could have gone true to size. You will look and feel like Nanuk of the North in these puppies, but they are exactly what I was looking for.

I am a dog walker and wore these all winter long. Kept my feet warm & dry in 0*F, 6" of slush, rain and snow storm after snow storm. No break in period.

They seem to be useful for most conditions. Awaiting the ability to go shoeshowing in them. I think they'll work.
Learning to lace them tighter each time so my heal doesn't slip.
I've always been a Merrells nut, so thumbs up for Sorel.

By gcgal from northern Arizona on 10/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I decided to give these boots a try after having tried many other brands and styles. My old standards, the classic sorels, have served me well for many years. I was looking for something not quite so clunky, but sorel warm, with good traction. I think I found what I wanted in these boots. Winter is just beginning so I won't know for sure until April.
