It's not super thick, but being 100% wool, it is plenty warm. And this is the softest wool I've ever encountered. Most wool sweaters make me itch, but this blanket does not at all. The only negative aspect I see is that since it is wool, the care tag says "dry clean only", but that's minor for such a soft, warm, attractive blanket.

Although it is somewhat lightweight compared to some other 100% wool blankets, it is warm. Very soft, and the colors very nice (I bought navy windowpane). It is long enough to use while lying on the sofa. The price is an incredible bargain for the quality that I got. I love wool blankets anyway & this one is not scratchy.

I'm planning to buy a couple more, one for the car and one for the couch. The size of the blanket is more than sufficient, not like the ones that usually fall short by a foot or so.
