By nc from Oregon on 12/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes fit really well and true to size. They are very comfortable. They are indeed waterproof, although the low ankle limits how high the waterproof goes. These are great for walking, and I'm sure great for trails as well, although I haven't used them there yet. Recommended.
Great classic design - comfy By Jamie from Holcomb, KS on 11/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction Best Uses: Everyday, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for around town, comfy classic styling.
I would not recommend for trails or running...or running on trails.
By Paul from Flagstaff, AZ on 11/08/2008 Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Three pairs of shoes in a row that are too short. I doubt my feet are growing longer, so what is going on?
Wonderful shoes for walking! By Boopster from Wichita, Kansas on 08/10/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my husband after buying a pair of the lady's shoes, and he loves them as much as I do. I never thought I'd find him a substitute for his beloved running shoes, but I did! He really likes these shoes and said they fit just right.
By mildot600 from Olympia, WA on 08/08/2008 Pros: Nice looking casual shoe Best Uses: Wear as a casual shoe Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved this shoe, but it did not fit properly, too narrow. I would recommend anyone with a wider foot avoid this shoe.
By Wanderer from Lancaster, CA on 07/18/2008 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought these as travel shoes for a trip to CO where the business attire will be jeans and polos. Idea was to have some good footwear to sneak in a hike or trail run without having to lug multiple pairs of shoes along.
Size fits my feet very well, which is to say these are narrower than most other brands I've tried. They work well for my purposes.
Have not had them long enough to rate durability or experience failure.
Not a good fit, runs too small By Jay from Oregon on 07/10/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Had to return shoe three times and ordered a size up every time, but the shoe is not a good fit. Teva makes this shoe for people who have abnormally small and thin fit. My size is a 9 regular and I had to order a 10 1/2 and it still was too small. Go with another shoe even thought the styling is great.
By SAKman from Bradford, Pa on 07/03/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I spend a lot of time walking throughout my work facility and and these shoes provide great comfort throughout the day.
Shoe should have been labeled as narrow. By Chas from Wake Forest, NC (native Californian) on 06/16/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Loved the looks & construction of the shoe. Have bought many shoes from Sierra; however, the pair I received were the most narrow shoes I have ever attempted to get my foot into. If this was one aberrant pair so be it, if you've had many returns because of size mislabeling then I suggest your quality control re-exam their protocols.
Outstanding shoe even for seniors. Comfortable, light and stable.
