Lightweight, will it hold up? By EL from Boston, MA on 06/18/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Non-slip sole, Stable Cons: May wear out quickly, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Easy Hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lightweight, stable and breathable (great for easy hikes or runs on hot days). Only gripe - the soles don't appear to be thick, and have holes in them (with thin transparent plastic shielding the midsole) so they may not last.
Not really a trail running shoe By Die Hard Ridge trail runner from Reno, NV on 06/07/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Very light Cons: Sole Wears Out Quickly Best Uses: More of a street shoe Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Very light shoe but you give up a lot of protection from rocks on trails. The soles appear to be wearing already with just 20 miles of rocky/dirt trails. I'll wear these to their death, but won't buy a second pair. I was more satisfied with my Vasque trail runners. [...] so I bought the Teva

By K from PA on 06/04/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Light Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Professional Guide Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took these shoes straight out of the box for a 10 day walking tour of Tuscany. While not the most challenging trails, I was happy to be wearing these Tevas. Lightweight, great traction, no hot spots. Felt a little big when I first put them on, but they have worked out great.
By Lost One from Bradenton, Fl on 05/21/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We are taking our Scout Troop to the boundary waters and I needed an in camp shoe that will protect my feet from the hazards. This shoe looks like it will do the job admirably. It is very light weight and looks like it will take up as little room as one could hope for.

By Camper from Milwaukee, WI on 04/20/2008 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of Teva X-1 Control shoes. I liked them from the first run. They are even lighter than my road shoes. I haven't used them enough to comment on durability but I suspect they will not last as long as trail shoes with a more substantial build. I still like them and plan to use them for fast trail training and racing.

By Nickel from Mojave Desert, CA on 04/06/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like these shoes. I run/hike in the Mojave Desert and they are light and have just the right amount of mesh. I have had some mesh shoes that let the sand right in or some that have no mesh and are too hot. I put different insoles in them and they rock!
