SO Comfy!
By St. Joe GirlVerified Reviewer from Saint Joseph MI on 11/15/2008
Pros:
Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly
Best Uses:
All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain
Describe Yourself:
Recreational Walker/Hiker
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Having tried 3 other hiking shoes without success, wasn't expecting these to fit perfect...but they do! The other hikers crowded my toes uncomfortably, so I ordered up one size. They fit my feet perfectly, so comfortable, supportive, dry and no break-in. I also have bunions, which usually ache in new shoes of any sort, but not with these.

Describe Yourself:

Comments:
I bought a pair of these 5 years ago in Maine for [$] because they fit so well and were so comfortable. They finally wore out this year. It's hard to find shoes that really hug your foot. This pair doesn't fit quite as well as my first pair, but I still love them. The web site says to order up and I'm a 7 1/2 so I ordered an 8, but they were too big. I had to return them for my regular size which fit just right.

I just heard from a couple who traveled by foot and packraft from Seattle to the Aleutians (over 4,000 miles) that these are the best shoes they've found. So far, I heartily agree.

The first hiking shoe I have found that fits my foot perfectly without getting blisters on my hikes. So far they have hiked through a snow storm keeping my feet completely dry and cozy warm. They have performed great in muddy/grassy areas as well as rocky terrain hikes. My feet feel very stable on any surface I have hiked thus far. Thanks Montrail!

These shoes do run about a half size too small; however, I ordered mine accordingly and I love their comfortable fit. I wear them on daily trail walks and never worry about my feet. I have even been wearing them to work with pants and they work great for me.

Comments:
I looked and looked. Ordered many shoes without luck, then finally hit up these hiking shoes. They are perfect for those of us that don't like squished toes and have narrow heels. They are not the prettiest, but they are great for walks, hiking and general use.

Nice looking, but fit funny
By Dark RunnerVerified Reviewer from Seattle, WA on 08/11/2008
Pros:
Water Resistant
Cons:
size feels a bit cramped
Best Uses:
Day hikes, Wet Weather
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Sizing:
Feels half size too small
Width:
Feels too narrow
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Shoe is sized funny, even when ordering a half size larger, they were too small and tight. The arch was positioned too far forward, so they didn't fit. Also not enough toe room, a little too cramped. Beautiful looking shoe though, too bad I didn't get to try them out, they looked perfect, but they don't fit. I had to return them.

Too small
By KB from Leavenworth, WA on 08/05/2008
Pros:
Durable, Stable
Best Uses:
Day hikes, Everyday
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Sizing:
Feels full size too small
Width:
Feels true to width
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I ordered a half size larger but it was still too small. I would have definitely needed a full size bigger. The shoe seemed very stiff and also not very nice to look at. Even if I would have had the correct size I don't think that it would give me the comfort and stability that I am looking for.
