Great, and a great value! By Bug from SW Penna on 11/12/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought this for cool weather backpacking. I haven't used it on the trail yet, but on first wearing I can say that it fits great: not too bulky, which is important for wearing with a backpack, but with room enough for mobility. I run hot, so the pit zips are welcome (and hard to find in a midweight jacket), and the plackets are unobtrusive and comfortable. The pockets are large and I appreciate that they sewed down the bottom of them in the jacket interior, making two additional pockets that are ideal for maps. I'm sure this jacket makes fine casual wear, but it's really meant to be a simple technical piece for layering over a base and under a shell, and it's absolutely spot-on for that purpose.

Small is 2-4 where it is usually 4-6. I wear a 6 and needed a medium in this brand.
By MT outddoor girl from Montana on 08/15/2009 Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As per other reviews, the pit vents soften with use. I don't find them uncomfortable. The fit is slim and flattering. Will only be able to layer lightly. I'm 5'4 and 128 lbs and bought a med for slim fit under ski shell. If you want a roomier fit or want to wear a big sweater underneath, definitely size up. [...]
Quality fabric - Peculiar armpits By Amy the Adventurer from Ozarks of MO on 07/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Pitzip design results in feeling of tumors or golf balls in arm pits. And because the pitzip zipper windblock is on the inside of the garment, the zipper pull is outside the garment and dangles loosely when raising the arms.
Princess seams create a tighter feminine fit than I prefer and sleeves are tight for layering or arms with a little muscle.
