Even though it comes with a section of sawblade meant to scrape slivers of ferroceium off and then use the magnesium flint to ignite the slivers,it produces only dust that does not do much more than spark. Too much work, no success despite many tries. Not worth the effort, nor the price. If it weren't used, I'd return it.

The spark will never light the magnessium. It just blows it away. Plus it takes 5 minutes to just get a little dust of the magnesium and with that little saw blade it is not the most comfortable thing on your hands either. I've seen these work but not this one.
