Great pad, not really self inflating By J from Northern NJ on 09/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Lightweight Cons: Difficult To Inflate Best Uses: Backpacking, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Excellent "self inflating" mattress for the price. It is long enough for me and I am 6'0, thought it is on the skinny side in comparision to a thermarest basecamp, etc. The mattress is great, it is just not terrific in the self inflating category, it usually only fills about 20-40% and I blow it up the rest of the way.
By Wanderlust Wendy from Salida, CO on 08/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Lightweight, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a comfortable pad and a good value. Compares to similar style of name brands. Might want a lighter weight type pad if you're an avid backpacker, but I would use it for both car camping and backpacking.
By Avid Hiker from Boise, ID on 08/12/2009 Pros: Compact Roll Up, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've only used once on an overnight trip and it was comfortable. Looking forward to see how it does on a multi-night trip. I like the fact that it's lightweight and compact.
By Erica from Vermont on 08/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Best Uses: Backpacking, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: When I received the sleeping pad I took the other review comments to heart and spent time inflating/deflating it on my own before trying it out in the wilds. It is very comfortable, and although it is heavy (2 1.2 pounds), my back can no longer take the ridge rest. It appears to be durable (have only had it a few weeks) and non slip, but the important thing is that it inflates/deflates easily and will allow me to sleep better.

I thought it would be cheap and poor quality. Neither of my predictions were true. I am very impressed and happy.

By arrjourney from Western Mass on 07/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Easy To Inflate, Lightweight, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these mats for myself and my two sons. I am the most picky about sleeping comfort and I have no problem with these mats. I don't feel the groun underneath. I'm pretty short(5'2") so they're to long for me.

By teddy from illinois on 06/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Non Slip Cons: Difficult To Inflate Best Uses: Car Camping, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have only used it once in last week's car camping. It's really comfortable to have it under the sleeping bag. However, it does not inflate as easy as it claimed. Overall, nice product
