This pad is better suited to car camping more for it's size than it's weight. It is pretty wide for going through the trees.

Great pad for comfort. Not light or compact enough for hiking, but great for base camp/casual camping. Somewhat of a chore to roll up, but carry bag is sized appropriately, plus has carrying handle.

great product for the money. This one is the final replacement for our old gear & we didn't hesitate to get same as other three we've already purchased & used. Too heavy & bulky for backpacking but great for other use, very comfortable & easy to inflate.

I took my 80 year old parent's car camping and they loved the new air pad. Last time we went camping I had an air mattress which they did not find comfortable. The extra thick air pad was a big improvement for them.

Comments:
This product was perfect for my Van/RV. After I sleep, I can roll it up and make room for storage of other items. The 3" thickness was very comfortable. Wish I could take it backpacking, but that is out of the question.

Large, soft air pad
By Camping newbie from Indianapolis Indiana on 10/03/2009
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy To Inflate
Cons:
Bulky Roll Up
Best Uses:
Car Camping, Weekend Trips
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
What Is Your Gear Style:
Comfort Driven
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I'm a camping newbie and was very concerned about having a comfortable night's sleep. This pad is not small, and it creates a large roll when rolled up. However, it is so comfortable and easy to inflate I consider it well worth the cost and space used to pack it along for car camping. It wouldn't be appropriate to carry hiking/camping but was very welcome on my recent weekend car camping trip.

Wonderful air pad
By TOB9595Verified Reviewer from New Jersey on 09/26/2009
Pros:
Adds great warmth, Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip
Cons:
Bulky Roll Up, Tough to deflate and roll
Best Uses:
Car Camping, Extended Trips, Hammock Camping, Weekend Trips
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
What Is Your Gear Style:
Comfort Driven
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I use this for hammock camping. I place it in my HENNESSY HAMMOCK and it allows me to use in temperatures below 30 F. The insulating ability of this is great and it is comfortable for tent camping also. Easy to inflate. Just unscrew the caps. Tough to deflate. It takes a bit of work and struggle to get it small enough to fit in the straps and carry bag. I recommend it to all for car camping, a spare mattress. A FINE PRODUCT Tom

I bought this sleeping pad to replace our air mattress. The sleeping pad started leaking the first time I used it. Looks like I'll keep looking for a pad to replace our air mattress.
