wake up on the ground--leaks! By kjtherivergeek from Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 01/05/2009 Pros: Easy To Inflate, Self inflating Cons: Bulky Roll Up, Leaks, Self deflating Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Junk. Deflates when you sleep on it. Self inflates when packed away. The company will tell you they rarely have defects with the dual brass valves. This is a lie. I have had two with the SAME leaky valves.[...]Better still, don't buy it. To others reviewing the product--please don't comment until you have ACTUALLY slept on it for a full night and experienced the defects!
By Ann from Carolina from North Carolina on 08/22/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Compact Roll Up, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We have not used this yet-just tried out in the living room. It is very comfortable. Our son has another name brand pad but not near as thick or comfortable. However, is much lighter and easy to use for backpacking. This pad is heavier than our tent! You wouldn't want to carry it very far! Since we plan to use it for only car camping it is perfect for us. We also have a Toyota Rav that we plan to just lay these pads in the back & use for sleeping when we don't want to take the tent. I originally just ordered one to see if we liked it & then ordered a second since the 1st was so comfortable.
By Ron B from Hood River, OR on 08/08/2008 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This pad does not hold air. Most of the air leaks out in a couple hours.
By skimoore from colorado on 07/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Cons: Bulky Roll Up, Heavy Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer What Is Your Gear Style: Minimalist Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A super comfortable sleeping pad for car camping - it is too heavy & bulky for backpacking. This pad is somewhat difficult to roll up & put back into the stuff sack. The straps that come with it are useless after they come off the first time - would be much better with some elastic or a velcro closure

By amensdaughterdeb from CA on 07/23/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got this because at home I sleep on the floor rather than a bed. This is super nice and well made. Glad I bought it. It looks very durable. I bought a Big Agnes pad, but this looks like it would hold up better.
By noel from northwest on 07/20/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Non Slip Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This pad is super comfortable and very well designed. the best thing I have found for car camping or crashing on the floor. Definitly not for backpacking unless you are tougher than me. Love the dots
By Green Designer from Winston-Salem, NC on 07/16/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Design, Easy To Inflate, Non Slip Cons: Bulky Roll Up, Heavy Best Uses: Car Camping, Extended Trips, Overnight guests, Weekend Trips Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational What Is Your Gear Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: We've camped in decades past with the one to two inch self-inflating pads and they were better than sleeping directly on the ground, but we'd wake up a little sore in the mornings. I am a young-onset Parkinson's victim (diagnosed two years ago), so my muscles hurt frequently when I get up in the mornings. We took a three night family trip and we all slept like babies on these self-inflating pads. We used them on top of the folding camping cots with sleeping bags on top. Best I've felt in the morning in a long time! Granted, we need a new mattress on our bed at home, but it's tempting to get these out and sleep on them until that happens! Great for car camping - won't go without them, even if they are a little bulky. It's definitely worth the space they take up, which isn't unreasonable anyway.
