By Salmon Walker from Idaho on 08/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited to receive my pants order as I needed them the next day for work walking a river for salmon redds. Upon opening the pkg, I was alarmed at the small size appearance of the waist. The pants were labeled as XL (40-42), but when I put my measuring tape to the waist band I got 36"! Even expanding the elastic stretched the waist to 38". No way they fit my 41" waist, and even the thighs were tight. A XL Sportif-brand pr. fit me fine, so clearly these pants were either mis-labeled or they run very very small. For a size 41 waist, buy an XXL (if offered).
Great convertible casual pants By Vic from Milford, Mass. on 07/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel, Warm weather country tour Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The combined slacks, easily converted to shorts will be a great asset to my trips on tour to warm countries. This will allow to get comfortable by scaling the legs down to a pair of shorts through zippers at the snap of a finger when the afternoon gets warm. It's light weight also makes it easy to pack.
