They are really comfortable but not so casual. I can wear them on date nights with my husband, to church or anywhere I might want to wear something besides tennis shoes or Birkenstocks.

This is good on a hot day when you don't want your sandals too tight! Wedge heel is attractive but not too high.

They surprised me with their immediate comfort, although Riekers have always fit me well. I love the red tone ones - perfect with a variety of red hued clothing. I also am comfortable in Ecco, Romika, Dansko,and Simple shoe brands if that helps others. I have a narrow heel but my foot is broader across the toes - a bit wider than standard medium widths. I also like the little rhinestones - adds pinache.

These sandals would be perfect if they fit. They are very large, possibly wide more than long. I should have ordered my usual size. They are a strange combination of dowdy glitz. The shoe is slightly Mommish with the jewel as an unusual touch. I think I would like them for their other comfort features enough to overlook the slightly dowdy look if they fit but think I need to send them back.

The Alena in brown was a versatile, stylish shoe that took me from day to night. It didn't need any breaking in. I'm the kind of person who straps up once (which was a bit difficult) and thereafter just wiggles my foot through. So what's strange is that the straps didn't stretch, but I did notice that my forefoot wasn't held as comfortably snug and secure as I'd like. This was primarily noticeable when walking on sand or uneven terrain, which this shoe isn't really suited to anyway. FYI, I'm a reliable 7.5 medium shoe size.
