Super cute, but Painful immediately! By Gidget from Atlanta, GA on 12/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I really wanted these shoes to work out, because they are some of the most stylish shoes Earth makes, but I wore them around the house for only about 30 minutes before I had to take them off--in that short time, I had a horrible blister on my heel! I tried again a few days later, and I couldn't even put it on b/c it hurt so bad! Will be returning these. Too bad, b/c they really are cute!
By Mommy from Colorado Springs, CO on 12/21/2008 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am getting these for Christmas, so I haven't worn them yet--only tried them on. I had Earth shoes when I was little--in the 1970'--and I am SO excited to have another pair! They were very comfortable when I tried them on and walked around a little bit.

Rubs heel immediately, blisters next By Honest Abigail from Montana on 12/08/2008 Cons: Back of shoes rub, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes! BUT they don't love me! The heel rubs and makes blisters! I tried socks, nylons annd bandaides. I wanted them to fit so bad and be comfortable but the back heel part rides way up and rubs you raw....so they go back! They would have been perfect for work in that they balance your weight evenly and have an great arch.To bad they didn't make this shoe more heel friendly. Ouch!
All right shoes for the price By Walkwoman from Boston country suburb on 12/05/2008 Pros: Breathes Well, Durable Cons: Craftsmanship, Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Overall, I like these shoes, but there are some drawbacks. I got the wide shoe because I had read that some leather Earth Shoes can be tight. That's fine. However, they are just slightly bigger than I need. That problem is remedied by a thicker sock --which is fine in the Winter. More troubling is that the footbed covering does not fit correctly over the hard arch support for one of the shoes, something I am willing to live with. I have the Earth Energetic sneaker, and that was too tight. I had to use a shoe stretcher with those...there does not seem to be consistency in size among the various shoe styles, probably a result of using multiple subcontractors in third world countries. The only other thing that was bothersome about the Mary Jane shoes was the heel counter, which is stiff feeling against the heel. It seems that the shoe designers chose to have a heel counter that rides up the heel instead of cradling it, as the more comfortable shoes do. Since these are close outs, I hope that the designers figure out what makes a really comfortable shoe. In fact I really hope that Earth Shoe sells some shoe INSERTs that people can put in their favorite shoes rather than take a chance with the inconsistencies of the various Earth Shoes.
Seems like the real thing By smithey from Ashland OR on 12/04/2008 Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: needed a good walking shoe, and also for travel, easy on off
By Hippie "has-been" from NC on 12/03/2008 Pros: Negative heel technology Cons: Irregular Fit, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Having been an Earth shoe wearer in the '70's, I was so excited to try these Earth Mary Jane's. I was very disappointed to find the fit far too large. The shoes felt floppy on my feet, but the high back still rubbed a blister on my heel within 20 minutes of wearing around the house. They weren't nearly as cute as they appeared in the photos and appeared "clunky." My feet felt as if they were being rolled inward instead of being supported at the arch. I ended up sending these back and tried some Earth clogs instead. The clogs are great!
Very uncomfortable shoes! By Deb from Corvallis, OR on 12/02/2008 Cons: No arch support, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I typically love Earth shoes, but after wearing these shoes for one day I endured over a week of arch pain (I do have higher than usual arches). I will try an arch support insert and see how that works. The shoes feel and look wide which reminds me of the first Keen shoes that I purchased that made my feet look like duck feet.
